I had the opportunity to photograph Jefferson County Fair in Golden , CO this weekend. I took way to many photos ( about 4000 ) so expect to see a few of those here. Also, ( warning: what you are about to see is shameless self promotion) look for them on my website livingcountryphotography.com or on my Facebook Page - Living Country Photography
BUT, the best part of the weekend was cleaning out my car looking for a hair tie. I pulled some magazines out of the pocket on the back of my seat and there in the bottom was a taco bell sauce packet. No idea how it got there , but here's what it said :
"Ahhh we meet again" I could not contain my laughter. It could have said anything. It could have been the "Help I'm afraid of the dark" or "pick me" ( can you tell I eat WAY to much taco bell?) But no, it was "ahh we meet again" Perfect.
Anyway, today I am editing photos from the weekend and heading off with my fantastic boyfriend to Bass Pro Shops since he's never been there! I can't believe it.
The boyfriend story is a whole nother story. All I can say is guys/girls, if you're in the "friend zone" hang in there. My guy sure did. He has been a friend of mine since middle school ( 8 years for all who don't know my age)and when I broke up with my fiance ( again another story he has a lot to do with my previous blog, that cheating.... oh well ) he was there for me again. As a friend first and then let me know that he was interested in giving dating another try if I wanted to and that he was willing to wait as long as it would take for me to feel ok with relationships again. See, he and I dated in high school for a few months but ended it because we couldnt get past the friends thing. It was a little weird. I guess things happen for a reason though and isn't that the point of a relationship? To be with your best friend? I mean after all relationships are meant to be used to find the one person you want to spend your life with. After all the physical attraction is gone that person had better be your best friend so that you can still enjoy their company even after things don't look so good on the outside. Older couples have always inspired me. I love seeing an elderly couple so much in love. I think love helps to keep people young. It gives you something to live for. I worked at wal-mart until recently ( had to quit to go back to school this fall ) and had to help an older gentleman and his wife. They just kept bickering non-stop. I left my boyfriend a note in his locker at work that night telling him about them and saying thanks for the Peanut Butter Snickers he got me ( he is fantastic like that :] ) and I said let's never be like them. Well so far we aren't . We will see what happens but I hope that someday I will find a guy who is less like that couple and more like this couple :
Whether that is my guy now, Kris. Or someone else I have yet to meet.
But, after that little random blog that somehow turned from Jeffco Fair and taco bell to love ( wtf? ) I am off to go get my horses fed and get ready for the rest of the day. Hope everyone is doing well.
